Operating theaters are usually already fully equipped with devices and screens. Not infrequently there is a lack of space additional equipment in the view of doctors to position. This was the reason for MCD to reinterpret the well-accepted OMNI.view² series.

The 42 "variant as a wall installation solves the sometimes prevailing space problems in the operating room. As built-in variants in the wall or as a surface-mounted version in an existing environment, the system uses free space and thus provides the opportunity to additionally display necessary information.

On the display, information can be called up or entered via touch-screen (10-finger). The actual control of the display takes place by means of the capacitive buttons on the glass front. Up to three different image sources can be selected by pressing a button. When selecting, the user can display even more information about the picture-in-picture functionality.

Another advantage for the user is the integrated RFID reader integrated in the glass front, which enables simple and contactless log-on and log-off using a chip card without having to remember or enter a password.

New design, new features, easier operation. These were the specifications for the successor to the completely passively cooled Medical Desktop system of the MCD.

Like all systems of MCD, the AESCU.certus³ offers operation via capacitive front keys, which can be programmed on a customer-specific basis. Thus, the user can change the keys e.g. with program starts or other commands.

The system is used wherever a high degree of hygiene, reliability or low noise level is required. It´s found in e.g. in intensive care units, stroke units or in the OR.

The housing of the AESCU.certus³ is made of insensitive aluminum which, in combination with the IP54 interface cover, allows all-round disinfection and cleaning of the system.

Extended system security is provided by the AESCU.certus³ via the UPS function, which continues to supply the system over a period of approx. 30 minutes. The battery management not only compensates for fluctuations in the power supply. The UPS function also offers the possibility to complete the investigation safely in the event of a power failure.

Overview of options:

  • Different Intel® Core ™ Skylake / Kaby Lake i3, i5, i7
  • Wide range of HDD and SSD / M.2 memories and RAM modules
  • Removable frame for 2 HDD / SSD
  • 1 x power adapter for powering e.g. Monitors via the internal MED power supply
  • UPS function
  • Integrated speaker for sound reproduction
  • Various WIFI modules can be integrated
  • Numerous PCIe cards (graphics, frame grabber, network, RS232, ...)
  • IP54 interface cover

The "Surgical Imaging System" THA.leia³ SIS opens up new possibilities for image processing in the OR. The built-in 31.5 "panel with 4K resolution ensures razor-sharp and significantly better details compared to current standard Full HD solutions.

Using the capacitive buttons on the front, the user can easily access a series of functions that considerably simplify the workflow and thus save precious time in the OR. At the press of a button, the user activates the video acquisition (start and stop), switches to or from the full screen, saves the current image (screenshot) or switches between the two connected sources. Also starting or terminating the application can be carried out via respective front buttons.

The integrated frame grabber card features a 6G-SDI (backwards compatible with 3G-SDI) and an HDMI 1.4 connector, allowing a high level of flexibility with regard to the connected sources. As usual, as with the entire THA.leia³ series, the interfaces are hidden behind an IP54 protected interface cover. The front and sides of the system are designed to IP65. Thus, the THA.leia³ SIS can be optimally disinfected and cleaned.

Equipped with passive cooling, the system performs its service silently and maintenance-free. The system can be tailored to the needs of the user with a wide BTO (Built to Order) range.

For medical device manufacturers, it is possible to individually adapt the capacitive buttons to the software or the workflow.

Overview of options:

  • Various Intel® Core ™ Coffee Lake i3, i5, i7 and Intel® XEON CPUs
  • Wide range of HDD and SSD / M.2 and RAM modules
  • Optional PCAP-Touch (10-finger)
  • Internal or external power supply
  • Various WIFI modules optionally integrated

Each year, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce honors the best apprentices in the region “Mittlerer Niederrhein”. Since 2006, companies get honored as well, as they contribute a crucial part to the apprentices’ success within the dual education system.

MCD can proudly announce to have been honored, first-time, together with our former apprentice Kevin Drabek.

Starting August 1st, two additional apprentices will reinforce the MCD team.
